Boston Women's Fund uplifts, advocates for, and invests in women, girls, and gender-expansive individuals who are leading grassroots organizations and systems’ change. Together we strive toward racial, economic, social, and gender justice.
We envision a world where power, opportunity, and access exist for those persistently marginalized, regardless of gender identity or gender expression.

We've just announced our 2025 grantee partners, including our movement building and community impact grantees!

Our 2025 Movement Building grantees were nominated by the public and reviewed by a community allocations committee. We're thrilled to support these impactful organizations, and our returning grantees, as they drive change across Greater Boston.
WHY WOMEN, GIRLS, AND GENDER EXPANSIVE INDIVIDUALS?
At BWF, we are who we serve. So we know firsthand that philanthropic redlining continues to skew the playing field. Organizations supporting women, girls, and gender-expansive people receive just 1.9% of all national charitable donations. However, we believe that change begins with women, girls, and gender-expansive individuals in their own communities. They can and must be leaders in all movements if progressive change is to occur. That’s why we exist solely to support these leaders as they solve problems on the front lines of their communities and work toward systems change.
